25.09.2018- TAPS PROJECT SUCCESS CELEBRATED IN FAREWELL EVENT

 European Union financed TAPS Project, which started in November 2015, celebrated its success with stakeholders with the closing ceremony held on 25 September 2018 in Bedestan. In the closing event, the stakeholders shared their experiences and success stories of the TAPS Project, which has been operating in different areas with the purpose of contributing to the economic development of the Turkish Cypriot community.

13.07.2018- CONFERENCE ON ‘CLUSTER CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND ESTABLISHMENT OF A CLUSTER NETWORK’ HELD IN NICOSIA

European Union financed TAPS Project and EU Info Point, have organised a conference on ‘Cluster Corporate Governance and Establishment of a Cluster Network’ with the partnership of Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (TCCC) and KOBIGEM on the 13th of July 2018 at the TCCC premises in Nicosia. In the event, the opening speeches were delivered by TCCC General Secretary Aysun Onet Ileri, KOBIGEM Coordinator Ebru Kaptan Sertoğlu and European Commission Head of Section Michael Docherty. This was followed by the keynote speech on ‘ Clustering, establishment of a cluster network and cluster corporate governance’ by EU Cluster Expert Vedat Kunt.
 
The keynote speech was followed by the presentation of the panellists. In the panel, presentations were made by FAS Deputy Team Leader Donald Aquilina on ‘Advisory services for clusters in the Turkish Cypriot community (TCc)’, by Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce Coordinator Hurrem Tulga on ‘Establishing clusters in TCc’ and by TAPS Senior Expert Niyal Öztürk on ‘Experiences and findings in supporting clusters in the TCc’. The conference ended with a discussion on ‘Recommendations for the TCc on cluster development’.

10.07.2018 – MARKETING TRAINING HELD IN NICOSIA

 European Union financed TAPS Project Team conducted training on ‘Marketing’ with the partnership of Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry on July 10th, 2018 in Nicosia. The overall objective of the training was to create awareness on processes of developing a marketing plan; market analysis, determining marketing objectives and development of a marketing strategy.

The training which was organised in cooperation with the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Shopkeepers and Artisans and Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry was well-attended by private sector representatives. The overall objective of the training was to present information on the latest trends and the techniques for developing strategies on digital marketing and, to present the effective usage of digital and social media tools.

European Union financed TAPS Project, has conducted training on ‘Digital Marketing and Social Media’ on 26th of June 2018 Tuesday in Trikomo/ Iskele. The training which was organised in cooperation with the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Shopkeepers and Artisans and the Trikomo/ Iskele Chamber of Shopkeepers and Artisans Union was well-attended by private sector representatives. The overall objective of the training was to present information on the latest trends and the techniques for developing strategies on digital marketing and, to present the effective usage of digital and social media tools.

21.06.2018 – BRAND MANAGEMENT TRAINING HELD IN FAMAGUSTA

 European Union financed TAPS Project Team conducted training on ‘Brand Management’ with the partnership of Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry and MASDER on June 21st, 2018 in Famagusta. The overall objective of the training was to inform participants about the importance and language of branding, coming up with a brand name, crafting the brand identity, sending signals to the customer’s brain with colours and typography and the ‘22 Immutable Laws of Branding’. Shopkeepers and representatives from NGOs showed high interest to the event.
